Bobr: Bush absolutely started the bailout madness by buying $350billion of 8%Preferred Stock issued by the the banks under TARP. BTW all of the banks have been paying the 8% dividend... some of the banks will actually pay this Preferred Stock back in 1-2 years. The point is the US government can not afford to do any more debt financed spending and the last thing taxpayers need are more taxes. We need fiscal responsibility from the government.
